It's time for Brunch with Fiona again!

If you are in helsinki area this weekend, join me on saturday! It's brunch with Fiona @ Nolla.

Abandoned house

My friend showed me this cool abandoned house. It's been standing there alone for years, probably more then a decade. I wonder why.. It's a very beatiful house (atleast it used to be!). And there's a lovely little pond too. I would love to live in a house like this. Well, after a very radical renovation.
I like to go into houses like this, though they scare me a bit. We didn't go in 'cause the door was locked, and we didn't want to break any windows.

If you like houses like this one, check out these 100 abandoned houses.

Hey you all! About hats!

Hey all you lovely people!
I've been getting tons of e-mail about my hats, i'm overwhelmed and utterly thrilled! :)
I'll be posting a price list soon, and info about color choices etc.
So, my web page is under construction, but you can order my hats staight from me.
If you live in finland, you can buy my hats from vaudevilleboutique.com (i'm sure they will ship worldwide, but the problem is that the page is only in Finnish for now..) or from Punavuoren Putiikki in Helsinki, Punavuorenkatu 2.

Also, if you have an vintage hat that needs repairing, i'll be happy to do it! Or if you have an old hat that you don't like, it may be possible to transform it to a new hat.

Thank you all for your lovely messages!

Here's few new Fiona Timantti creations. 'Couse my web page is under construction, you can't really buy my hats online at the moment. But if you see something you like, you can place an ordea via e-mail fionatimantti(at)gmail.com.

Photos by Riku R. Special thanks to my lovely model, oh so beautiful Cherry Dee.

Arabian Nights

Lately i've been very inspired by the next years theme for the Helsinki Burlesque Festival: one thousand and one nights.
I'll be wearing something like this! Maybe not that revealing though.

I've been making the perfect pattern for a perfect turban, but i'm not quite there yet..

This is just a scarf wrapped around the head, but it looks good.

For some reason i see myself here, in 40 years.

This is very cool pic, but the turban is a bit too high for my taste.

This is maybe closer to what i'm gonna do.

This next picture is not like anything i would do, but it's pretty damn awesome!
Crochet turban and dress by Sandra Backlund. Her works are really cool. Not something i would wear maybe, but still..i have to admire her skils!
And this next picture with Tilda Swinton wearing Backlunds dress, wow! That dress is amazing. And who wouldn't love Tilda...

And heres something silly! A clip from Disney's Aladdin. I really like animations, and this goes well with the HBF theme :)

Oh summer...

Vintage sunglasses, 50's shirt. Notice that my wristwatch matches my nailpolish and lipstic.

I usually only wear pants in summer, i wonder why... Pants are second hand, handbag 50's.

I love my new sneakers! They are from some army surplus store (not from Varusteleka, which is my favourite) and were very inexpensive and very comfortable.
...and yellow socks :)

Nick and Nora

He is such a master! 21.5.2010

Here he is! Jari! The fresh Master of Arts! :D

Party gang! We may have had few glasses of champagne... For this picture, i got to wear Lola's spectacular heels! If you like Lola's heels, check out Joy Boots!

I was going to take these outfit pics before the party, but that didn't happen..So i took them after the the party, in the middle of the night, when i got home. Cecil wanted to be in the pictures as well. Bix is not in the pictures, for he was too busy lurking in the bushes.

I'm wearing one of my favourite 40's dresses. It was a gift from my friend Oona. 50's gardigan is a flea market find, shoes, belt and hat second hand.

We had a lovely party few months ago, i just forgot to post these pictures...

Here's my new favourite Drag Queen, Crazy Cat Lady Linnea!

Here's me with my new idol. I'm acturlly not just dressed in drag, but my drag character Jalo is also in drag (!). As you can see, he's wearing a tutu, men's garters, tail coat and high heels. I was a mess! :D I made that tutu myself while still in school. It's made the same way that they make tutus in Finnish National Opera.

My garters are vintage, but if you can't find vintage gartesr that you like, try Sock Dreams! They have lovely new garters.
